Nissan GT-R lovers are invited to experience surreal race excitement using Nissan’s fully immersive Grand Turismo Racing Pod, a virtual reality simulator.
Nissan Motor Thailand Co Ltd announced that visitors to the ongoing Fast Auto Show Thailand 2018 at BITEC Bangna can use the simulator at Nissan’s booth at Hall EH106, on a first-come, first-served basis, from 27 June to 1 July.
Nissan said the GT Racing Pod also provides an alternative route into mainstream motorsports: the Nissan GT Academy uses it to host competitions with gamers to select the best player, who then has a chance to be trained and become a real-life professional racer with Nissan Motor Sport (NISMO).
The GT-R is Nissan’s most iconic super sports car, engineered and refined using Nissan’s more than 35 years expertise in global motorsports development. It is among the fastest production cars in the world, with the 2+2 grand touring coupe powered by a hand-built 555-horsepower 3.8-liter V6 twin-turbo engine, coupled with a six-speed sequential dual clutch transmission that puts power in all four wheels.
