Mercedes-Benz has seen a 130-per cent growth in electric car sales in Thailand thanks to the introduction of the all-electric CLA model.
Meanwhile, the German luxury carmaker has also launched a new Q3 sales promotion called “Flex Mobility Campaign” that combines financing, maintenance and warranty offers into a single package, making it easier for customers to understand.
In Thailand, Mercedes-Benz sold a total of 2,8845 vehicles during the first six months, while registrations reached 3,557 units. In comparison global sales for the brand reached 511,900 units, with electric vehicles making up 13 per cent (52,900 units) of total sales.
Mercedes-Benz Thailand president and CEO Christian Schell said the CLA Electric dramatically helped Mercedes-Benz grow its electric car portfolio in the Kingdom. More than 300 units have been delivered to customers during the first two months of this year, while back orders amount to 1,350 units.
Local production of the CLA Electric can supply the company with 100-200 vehicles per month, he said. The car is assembled at Thonburi Group’s plant, supported by Mercedes-spec batteries produced by Power Tech Energy Solutions Co Ltd.
In addition, the GLC Electric, another all-new EV model, will be introduced in Thailand in September, along with top-end luxury cars like the S-Class and Maybach. In 2027, the C-Class Electric is also slated to make its debut in Thailand.
The Flex Mobility Campaign, valid from August 1 to September 31, comprises of three main components – StarProtection (Insurance), StarCare (maintenance) and StarGuarantee (Warranty Extension).
“Through the FLEX Mobility Campaign, we are introducing more flexible financial products and after-sales solutions designed to adapt to the diverse lifestyles and evolving needs of our customers,” Schell said.
Eight Mercedes-Benz models are included in the campaign, and customers enjoy flat initial payments (down payment) as follows:

According to Mercedes-Benz Thailand, customers are free to choose individual options or a comprehensive package covering all three services for Bt6,000 per month for three- to five-year contracts, offering savings of up to Bt400,000 compared to purchasing each package separately.
