Mazda is preparing to sell the Mazda6e electric car in Thailand, with the official launch to take place at this year’s Motor Expo on November 28.
The Mazda6e features a NeoFastback body configuration along with Mazda’s “Kodo – Soul of Motion” Design language. Mazda Thailand has not release details of the new model, but has launched a teaser on Youtube.

The Mazda6e shares the EPA1 platform with the Changan L07, and in China is marketed as the Changan Mazda EZ6. In overseas markets, the Mazda6e is available in two variants – standard rage and long range. It is unsure whether Mazda Thailand will offer both variants or just one.
While the standard rage variant has a 68.8kWh battery powering a 258hp rear-mounted electric motor, the long range variant comes with an 80kWh battery and has slightly less output of 242hp. Acceleration from 0-100km/s times are 7.6 seconds and 7.8 seconds respectively, while top speed is claimed at 175km/h.

Mazda claims a charging time of 24 mins (10-80%) on a CCS 350kW DC charger, which Mazda says can cover close to 500kms WLTP on a single charge.
The Mazda6e has a length of 4,921mm and a wheelbase of 2,895mm, and weighs approximately 1,960kgs (both variants).

The interior features a 10.2-inch digital driver display and large 14.6-inch center touchscreen with voice control. There’s also augmented reality head-up display, bridge-type console and premium nappa leather and suede upholstery.
