Nissan has renamed its used cars business UCARS to Nissan Intelligent Choice Certified Used Car, the company announced in a statement.
According to Nissan, under the improved used car business, vehicles now go through a 167-point check, with the additional checks being for hybrid electric vehicle systems and batteries. In addition, the vehicle age limit has been increased from 5 years to 6 years, or 130,000 kilometers.
Vehicles come with a standard one-year warranty, but the mileage limit has been raised from 25,000 kilometers to 30,000 kilometers. All vehicles also come with Nissan’s 24-hour emergency roadside assistance.
In addition, the facilities for Nissan’s used car business will be renovated in line with the Nissan Retail Concept initiative. The layout of the showroom connects customers to the entire service operation, whether they have come to buy a new vehicle or to get their existing vehicle serviced.
Nissan said it provides customers with a comfortable environment that enables Nissan dealer partners to provide any services Nissan customers need as efficiently as possible.
“We believe that Nissan Intelligent Choice Certified Used Car will be an ideal platform to the customers looking for quality tested reliable pre-owned car so as to not just meet, but to exceed their expectations,” said Antoine Barthes, president of Nissan in Thailand. “Our valued customers are the heart of everything we do at Nissan in Thailand and the Nissan Intelligent Choice Certified Used Car is another way to better serve their needs.”
Nissan Intelligent Choice Certified Used Car is Nissan’s global business model for pre-owned cars and after its success in 10 markets: US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, UK, South Africa, India, China, Philippines and Japan. The rebranding in Thailand is expected to be completed at the 21 Nissan dealerships with used cars businesses by March 2019.
