Bjoren Gustrau has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing for Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Ltd and South East Asia. He replaces Frank Steinacher, who has been reassigned as vice president for sales in Mexico after working in Thailand since 2016.
The appointment of Mr. Gustrau is effective from 1 August 2019.
Gustrau, 46, joined Daimler AG in 2000 through the Associated Management Consultant Team of Daimler Chrysler AG, in Stuttgart, Germany. He, as a part of Technical Planning Support Division, provided consultation on the standardization and optimization of local content process in Mercedes-Benz cars production in facilities located in countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, India, and Egypt, to ensure that the cars were assembled under the same standards as at Daimler AG’s production centre in Sindelfingen, Germany.
