The Honda CR-V has won the 2017 Thailand Car of the Year crown by the Thai Automotive Journalists Association of Thailand (TAJA) on Friday night.
Over 80 Thai automotive journalists picked the winner after casting votes in the final round of the event held last month.
The CR-V, with 228 points, beat runners-up the Toyota Yaris ATIV (192 points) and the BMW 5 Series (157 points), to become the third brand to win the prestigious award after the Ford Everest in 2015 and Mazda CX-3 2016.
Meanwhile the Honda CB150R Exmotion and Yamaha R6 were named as the 2017 Thailand Motorcycle of the Year, in the under-400cc and over-400cc categories respectively.
