New cars, used cars and electric vehicles will be on sale at the FAST Auto Show Thailand and EV Expo 2023 to be held from July 5-9 at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (Bitec).
This year, organizer King of Auto Product Co Ltd has decided to expand the show area in order to highlight electric vehicles which are quickly gaining popularity in Thailand.
Pattanadesh Asasappakij, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said this year’s show has grown in every dimension, with more automobile companies taking part. The total show area has been increased from 15,000sqm to 20,000sqm in order to cater to new and used cars as well as electric vehicles.
“Apart from new and used cars, this year’s highlight also includes electric vehicles from MG, Great Wall Motor, NETA and BYD,” he said. “The market response for electric vehicles in Thailand has been very good so this year we have set up an additional 5,000sqm of show space for electric vehicles. Apart from sales, there are also an EV testing zone as well as EV educational zone.”
Mr Pattanadesh added that used car dealers will present models from various segments ranging from eco cars to supercars.
“Every dealer guarantee that the vehicles are in mint condition with low mileage, and conform to the five basic rules. They include no fire, no flood, no modification, no heavy accident and legitimate, which has been the selling point of the show during the past 10 years,” he said.
“The overall economy of Thailand has improved significantly after the elections went through smoothly. The tourism sector is recovering and many think that the number of tourists will reach pre-Covid levels. This will bring in huge capital and we’re confident that the Thai economy, as well as the automobile sector, will grow further,” he added.
