The FAST Auto Show Thailand 2019 will feature 11 automobile and motorcycle manufacturers and 18 used car dealers at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Ceter (Bitec) from June 26-30.
Pattanadesh Asasappakij, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said 2,000 new cars are expected to be purchased at this year’s FAST Auto Show, in addition to another 1,000 used cars. As much as Bt2.5 billion is expected to be generated while no less than 250,000 visitors are expected at the event, which requires an investment of Bt80 million to organize.
He said improved political stability in the Kingdom, which had just witnesses the Coronation of its new King, will help boost the event.
“This will help raise consumer spending and the Thai economy has a positive direction, going in harmony with the direction of the Thai automobile industry,” he said “Meanwhile, automobile companies are continuously launching new products and sales campaigns throughout the year.”
“Organizers of the FAST Auto Show Thailand 2019 want the show to be a meeting place for buyers and sellers of new cars and used cars. They can all come here – there are many show supporters that will help you achieve your goals and everyone will be satisfied. The large number of sales campaigns during the show by exhibitors as well as financial institutions,” he added. “From all the contributing factors, we are confident that the show will benefit the Thai automobile industry particularly from the midyear period onwards, and contribute to the growth of the Thai economy.”

Meanwhile, Chalatchai Paphatphong, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee for New Cars, said 11 leading brands are officially taking part this year.
“There is a large number of new models expected to be launched at the show by Audi, Honda, Hyundai, Isuzu, Mazda, MG, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, Subaru and Toyota,” he said. “Each brand has prepared special highly attractive sales campaigns for this event and when we join it with campaigns from official supporters like Krungsri Auto that has been with us all the way, we believe that customers will be motivated to place orders. We are confident that various sales promotions at the show will effectively stimulate consumer spending.”
Asadavuth Asasappakij, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee for Used Cars, said there are 2 new exhibitors this year – Panda Speed and BB Smart Car.
“Last year we had 16 dealers – Visarn Autocar, DDS Car Center, Yo Rachada, 54 Niwat Car Center, THE ONE, CarDeeSureOK, J Motortrade, Amorn Warranty by Benz Amorn Rachada, Rot Sethi, Best Service, 999 Rot Ban Suvit Took Lae Dee, Keng Praram 9, Rot Ban Khun X by AUTO MASTER, NBP CAR, A.T. CARSALE and UNIQUE AUTOCARS,” he said.
Previously-owned European makes have had a strong customer base throughout the years, Asadavuth said.

Pornthep Thirasuntrakul, Senior Director for Marketing and Auto Loans Business at the Bank of Ayudhya PCL, as representative from the major supporter of the show, said this is the fourth year that Krungsri Auto has become the main supporter of the FAST Auto Show Thailand.
“In the past we have taken a Direct-to-Consumer marketing strategy for more than 20 auto shows in Bangkok and upcountry every year, and we have received tremendous consumer response,” he said. “This reflects that auto shows are the buy/sell market that answers to consumers in every way, whether it is the large variety of models to choose from, high-quality of the products and sales promotions that fit the consumer. The FAST Auto Show Thailand is another major motor show that will definitely draw in consumers and help stimulate auto sales, including both new and used cars, during the midyear period.”
He added that the automobile market will continue to expand this year, despite not as strongly as last year. “We estimate that 1.05 million to 1.08 million new vehicles will be sold this year in Thailand, with growth ranging from 1% to 4%. In fact this is a pretty high figure, and this is supported by the launching of new models by car companies as well as increasing number of used cars entering the market, and various campaigns that penetrate various customer groups looking for vehicles during the midyear period.”
