Benz TTC undergoes Bt100-million showroom renovation

TTC Motor Co Ltd, a leading Mercedes-Benz dealership, has invested Bt100 million to renovate its Pattanakarn showroom.

Apart from the Mercedes-Benz brand, last year Benz TTC is also one of four local dealers for the ultra-luxury Mercedes-Maybach, as well as Mercedes-EQ and Mercedes-AMG electric and performance sub-brands respectively.

In total, Mercedes-Benz have 34 dealerships across the country, with 14 having the rights to sell Mercedes-AMG models. Other Maybach dealers in Thailand include Benz Primus Autohaus, Benz Starflag and Benz BKK. Meanwhile, the other three Mercedes-EQ dealers are Primus, Starflag and Benz Praram 3.

Roland Folger, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Co Ltd, presided over the Mercedes-Maybach appointment ceremony at the TTC Motor showroom staged recently.

“TTC Motor is one of the top Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the country with outstanding performance in sales and aftersales,” he said. “This is the reason that they have been selected to officially represent the exclusive Mercedes-Maybach super luxury sub-brand in Thailand.”

Akarin Tangthaveesit, president and CEO of TTC Motor Co Ltd, said the company commenced its showroom and service center renovations after being appointed as a Maybach dealer during the third quarter of 2020.

“We started the renovation project for the Pattanakarn showroom and Pattanakarn Soi 45 service center in conjunction with the strategy from distributor Mercedes-Benz (Thailand) Co Ltd, which includes selling all four brands including the ultra-luxury Maybach,” he said.

While Mercedes-Benz models get the largest showroom area, each sub-brand has its own space within the showroom, with the highlight being the Mercedes-Maybach VIP lounge, currently displaying the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC Premium SUV.

While the Maybach SUV is priced at Bt18 million, numerous options and add-ons could easily bring the price up to Bt22-23 million.

It comes with a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 powerplant plus electric motor delivering a total output of 557hp and 730Nm of torque. Power goes through a 9-speed automatic gearbox, propelling the bulky SUV from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds and to a top speed of 250km/h.

“We spent over Bt100 million for the showroom and service center renovation in order to conform with the new digital communications platform for our luxury brands, as well as better serving the customers,” he said. “This will ensure the longevity of our business in the long term, offering us a strong foothold into the future.”

The showroom now features modern styling that caters to customers of all ages, particularly in the digital era where customers have different lifestyles and want more choices and customization options, according to Akarin.

“The facilities at the showroom are more premium and exclusive, including a cigar bar as well as Mercedes-Maybach VIP lounge offering customers total privacy,” he said.

The TTC showroom has an area of 1,800sqm with the following breakdown for the ground floor: Mercedes-Benz (29 per cent), Mercedes-AMG (9 per cent), Mercedes-Maybach (5 per cent), Mercedes-EQ (2 per cent), customer area (7 per cent) and cigar bar (3 per cent). The remaining area has been designated for consulting.
