Nissan has started production of its new Kicks e-POWER model in Thailand to serve both domestic and export markets.
The 2020 Nissan Kicks features bold design and apart from the fuel-efficient e-POWER hybrid powertrain, the Kicks also come with ProPILOT, Nissan’s advanced driver assistance technology.
Attending the start-of-production ceremony were Mr. Shohei Yamazaki, Chairperson of the Management Committee for Japan/ASEAN & Affiliate Companies (AFL), Nissan Motor Co Ltd; Mr. Toshihiro Fujiki, Corporate Executive, Global Aftersales, Nissan Motor Co Ltd and former President of Nissan ASEAN and Thailand; as well as Nissan’s long-standing partners from Siam Motors Group, including Chairman Dr. Phornthep Phornprapha, President Mr. Prakasit Phornprapha, and other senior executives from Siam Motors Group and Nissan Motor Thailand.
Shohei Yamazaki, Chairperson, Management Committee for Japan/ASEAN & Affiliate Companies, Nissan Motor Co Ltd, said, “Nissan has operated in Thailand for more than 73 years, continuously strengthening our products and manufacturing capabilities to meet evolving customer needs.”
