A total of 37 automobile and eight motorcycle brands will take part in this year’s Bangkok International Motor Show, which klcks off on March 25 at Challenger Hall, IMPACT Muangthongthani.

According to organizers, more than 10 new automobile models including hybrids and electric cars, will be launched at the event, which goes on until April 5.

Jaturont Komolmis, vice chairman of the organizing committee, said, “This year, automakers have adjusted their pricing strategies and will offer more favorable financing terms, including more accessible prices, promotional campaigns and flexible payment programs.”

“This has made car ownership easier for consumers and has stimulated the overall economy. Based on this response, we anticipate that this year’s event will generate at least a 10 per cent increase in revenue compared to last year,” he stated. Last year over 77,000 orders were placed for new vehicles at the Show.

More than new cars

Meanwhile, Anothai Eamlumnow, also vice chairman of the organizing committee, added, “In addition to a comprehensive selection of cars, motorcycles, modern automotive technology and accessories for viewing and purchase, this year’s event also features a variety of special activities to enhance the visitor experience and cater to all target groups.”

“These include the Grand Prix Runbike Championship with RCS and many other special events such as the 30th anniversary celebration of XO Autosport, which typically brings together key figures in the car tuning industry, and giveaways for attendee,” Anothai added. “There will also be a JDM & Custom Culture event showcasing unique JDM and custom cars in a warm outdoor setting, where visitors can see over 200 top-tier customized cars from across the country (100 cars per day), and a lively gathering of various car clubs in a vibrant summer atmosphere at the Loading Area behind Challenger 1-3 at IMPACT.”

Anothai noted that for visitors who wish to test drive the car models they are interested in, the organizers have prepared a Test Drive area by the lake at Muangthongthani.

This area will accommodate test drives of new car models from various brands in a spacious and safe environment. Visitors will be able to experience the performance, technology and safety systems of the vehicles firsthand.
