Ninnart Chaithirapinyo, former Chairman of the Board, Toyota Motor Thailand (TMT), is now retired. But don’t let that fool you. The former executive/engineer has got a bunch of new projects ongoing and coming up for the Thai society.
์Ninnart, a veteran in the Thai automotive industry for over 54 years, recently invited Thaiautonews to Suan Pawat Garden (Pawat Waterfront and Resort) that also serves as a space for the public to learn about the environment, clean energy and sustainable development.
In this video Ninnart speaks about his years at Toyota and his meeting with the late King Rama 9 of Thailand, who on several occasions, gave advice and initiatives to Toyota on various topics, ranging from vehicle specs to development of biodiesel fuel.
He also explains the coming of Suan Pawat, which also incorporates the latest solar power technology, supplied by another ex-Toyota executive, former TMT president Mitsuhiro Sonoda, representing West International (Thailand).
There are more than 200 species of trees at Suan Pawat, including rare ancient Thai trees.
The plants help absorb carbon dioxide, reduce dust, reduce temperature as well as help grow biodiversity.
