Mitsubishi recently staged the grand opening ceremony of the Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Education Academy in Lamlukka district, Pathum Thani province.
The grand opening ceremony was chaired by Osamu Masuko, CEO of Mitsubishi Motors Corp, while Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Co Ltd (MMTh) president Morikazu Chokki was also present along with other VIPs.
“Mitsubishi Motors has always been determined with our business in Thailand throughout the years, and the Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Education Academy is a reflection of that determination during a time when Thailand is moving towards an economy that is innovation-driven,” Masuko said.
The opening ceremony of the center follows Mitsubishi’s recent celebration for achieving the 5-million-unit production milestone at its Laem Chabang production center.
“The Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Education Academy will play an important role in the development of knowledge and skills, so that our employees can deliver new values to the customers of Mitsubishi Motors,” Masuko added.
The Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Education Academy is result of a Bt120-million initial investment project, built on a 17,000sqm plot of land in Pathum Thani province just north of Bangkok. Construction started in September 2017, and the main building has an area of 8,700sqm.
“The academy will be very important in the development of our sales and after sales staff,” said Chokki, who was previously president of Tripetch Isuzu Sales Co Ltd, the Isuzu distributor in Thailand.
Presently the academy is capable of training 100-150 employees per day for service advisors, technicians, spare parts employees, sales advisors, customer relation officials as well as other MMTh employees, Chokki said.
“The Mitsubishi Motors Thailand Education Academy will not only develop expertise in each work field, but also plants strong values so that our employees can deliver that inspiration to our customers,” he said.
